Classic Parking is owned by Richard, Richard Jr. and Cathryn Ullman. Together, Classic's owners and principals have over 100 years of experience providing professional parking services to hundreds of satisfied clients. In fact, the Ullman family business has its very roots in the Los Angeles community, having served diverse clients throughout the county and in other major cities around the country since 1929.

Richard Ullman
Well-known throughout the industry for his depth of experience and knowledge in the parking services field, Richard Ullman is both owner and president of Classic Parking, Inc. Richard assumed leadership of Classic Parking, Inc. in 2002, after building one of the most successful privately held parking companies in the U.S., Five Star Parking.
A veteran in the parking services industry, Richard's career began in 1960 when he joined the family business, Grant Parking, Inc., which has provided parking services throughout Hollywood and Los Angeles since 1929. In 1981, Richard resigned from his position as executive vice president of Grant Parking to become general manager/president/CEO of a newly-formed company, Five Star Parking. Through his leadership, Five Star Parking became an industry leader, responsible for more than $270 million in annual receipts and employing more than 2,000. The company serviced a number of parking venues, including airports, off-airport facilities, hotels, convention centers, office buildings, shopping centers, hospitals, entertainment facilities, universities, museums and special events.
Cathryn Ullman
Cathryn Ullman is owner/vice president of Classic Parking, Inc. a company she started in 1987. Since 1998, Cathryn's sole focus has been the growth of Classic Parking, Inc. and its role as a major provider of parking services.
Cathryn got her start in the parking business when she joined Grant Parking, Inc. in 1980. There she learned all aspects of the business, first as a payroll clerk and then while working her way up through operational supervision to parking management. From 1982 until 1998, she was a key member of the parking management team at the California Mart in downtown Los Angeles and was instrumental in guiding parking operations for a complex facility encompassing over 3,000 spaces and generating in excess of $3 million per year. In 1987, seizing the opportunity to operate independently, she founded Classic Parking, Inc., a certified WBE (Woman Owned Business). Through a joint venture with Five Star Parking, the company became involved with parking operations for a variety of venues that included LAX, Exposition Park, the Rose Bowl, San Jose Arena, Norman T. Mineta (San Jose) International Airport, San Jose Oakland/Alameda County.
Richard Ullman, jr.
Richard Ullman, Jr., owner/vice president of Classic Parking, Inc., joined the company as partner in 2002. Richard began his career in 1979 as a parking supervisor with Grant Parking, Inc. After graduating from the University of Southern California in 1988 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communication, he joined Five Star Parking as General Manager. His experience includes parking management at the Staples Center, Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum and Sports Arena, the Pasadena Rose Bowl, Dodger Stadium, California Speedway, World Cup Soccer, the Super Bowl, the Academy Awards, the Grammy Awards, the Shrine Auditorium and the Hyundai Pavilion.
David Garner
David Garner, chief operating officer of Classic Parking, Inc., began his career in 1984 with Five Star Parking, Inc. where he worked until joining Classic Parking in 2002. During his tenure at Five Star Parking, David managed parking services for high-profile venues that include Los Angeles Dodger Stadium and the STAPLES Center. David's more than twenty years of management experience in the operation of large-scale, special event facilities enable him to seamlessly manage complex parking services for clients that include the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum and Sports Arena, Rose Bowl, California Motor Speedway, Academy Awards, Grammy Awards, Shrine Auditorium, Glen Helen Pavilion and Verizon Wireless Amphitheater.
Paul Cottrel
Paul Cottrell's extensive experience in law enforcement, protection services and the private security industry make him ideally suited for his position as vice president of Classic Protection. For the company, Paul is responsible for all operational aspects of the business, including hiring, staffing, compliance, union negotiations, client interaction and insurance. Under his supervision, Classic Protection has conducted security operations at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), Van Nuys Airport, John F. Kennedy Airport (JFK), LaGuardia Airport, The Staples Center, The Home Depot Center, the Los Angeles Coliseum and the Pasadena Rose Bowl.
Prior to entering the private security industry in 1998, Paul was a police officer for the city of Westminster, California, serving as a patrol officer enforcing state penal and vehicle codes. While there, he spent 18 months as part of the "Metro Team," where he focused on law enforcement in high crime areas, using tools such as undercover enforcement, bicycle patrol and cross-county coordination (probation department, parole officers, regional task forces) to apprehend criminal offenders. Paul is licensed as a CCW retired police officer (authorized in all states), and as a California guard, private investigator, private patrol officer and qualified manager.
